Meet Anne Broderson, APRN, FNP-C
*Feel free to just call her "Anne"
Anne Broderson (McKean) was born in Texas and grew up in Colorado, California, and Kansas. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Spanish from Kansas State University in 2002 then completed a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Research College of Nursing in 2004.
Starting as a new grad RN in a busy level 1 trauma center in downtown Kansas City, MO, she soon became skilled as a critical care emergency department nurse. Time away from the hospital was spent as a die-hard Chiefs fan (despite some particularly hard losing seasons and at best, poor playoff performances). A true die-hard fan, 18 years later, she saw KC Chiefs win their first Super Bowl in February 2020, just weeks before the Pandemic revolutionized Anne's professional journey as a healthcare provider.

Anne continued on from the Midwest to accept a series of travel nursing contracts bringing her through the Phoenix & Dallas-Fort Worth metroplexes before landing on the Big Island of Hawai'i in 2007 where she fell in love with the island and kama’aina and only two weeks after met her husband Adam who was born and raised in Kona.
She expanded her critical care nursing experience by transitioning into Flight Nursing, accumulating over 1500 patient transports via fixed and rotor wing aircraft and even gaining 15 minutes of fame when featured on The Weather Channel's reality-show Hawaii Air Rescue. After welcoming daughter Evelyn in 2012, Anne returned to boots-on-the-ground hospital nursing, working in Emergency Dept, Intensive Care Unit, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit of the local community hospital. She returned to school completing her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2018, graduating with a 4.0 GPA from Walden University.

Beginning in January 2019, Anne worked in several group practices as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner garnering experience in specialities including General Cardiology and Emergency Project Management Services & Expeditionary Initiatives. She has pioneered large-scale, complex logistical events including philanthropic work as co-founder/sponsor of the Elvis Sheppard Annual Memorial Blood Drive, and her collaborative leadership to set-up and oversee Drive-Thru COVID test sites in the community, post-travel COVID test sites at the airports, and COVID vaccine sites around the county. She sharpened her primary care experience while working for a local federally qualified health clinic before founding Olakino Health & Wellness LLC in 2023, where she applies her clinical and administrative expertise through a private practice that embodies her philosophy as a healthcare provider serving her Kona community.

Anne sees patients across the lifespan including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. She offers Women's Health Exams and care (pap-smears, birth control, and early pregnancy). She is trained to perform most minor office procedures including skin biopsies, suturing, joint steroid injections, EKG interpretation, and offers CLIA-waived lab services and phlebotomy in office. She offers IV Therapy and Injections, Medically-Supervised Weight Loss, and Hormone Replacement Therapy for both men and women.
